Stargazing

When was the last time you saw the Milky Way in all its glory etched across the night sky? On clear, moonless nights, you will see it here at Franks Point of View. The exceptionally dark, unobstructed skies above our campground are ideal for casual stargazing, amateur astronomy or astro-photography. And we keep unshielded terrestrial lighting to a minimum to help preserve the dark skies and dark-adapted vision so everyone with an interest can get lost in the stars above.

Wilderness Trails

Several miles of wilderness trails have been preserved as a natural environment akin to nearby Talladega National Forest. Hiking shoes, walking sticks, and great care highly recommended - enjoy yourself, but watch your step!
